### **Basic & JQL Search**

Mindpro Graphy, in addition to offering the ease of use of Basic Filters and all the power of JQL syntax, also offers special filters that further increase your ability to search for the data you really need.

See below what are the different options to search and filter your data using Mindpro Graphy:

---

**Search by Basic Filters**

The **Basic Filters** are the easiest way to search data, these filters offer a wide variety of system and custom fields to be selected and combined so that your teams perform their searches quickly and easily.

You just need to select one or more filters from the available options (**click on "More" to see all the field options**) and click on **"Search"**, and that's it, your search will be performed, and all the gadgets on the screen will have their data populated.

**Search by JQL Syntax**

The **JQL search** option is the most powerful way to search data, using the JQL search field, you can create and run your JQL queries directly in the app.

You just need to switch from **Basic to JQL**, using the option available in the search area, enter your JQL query, and click on "**Search**", and that's it, your search will be performed, and all the gadgets on the screen will have their data populated.

**Search by Hierarchy Filter (Parent link)**

The **"Hierarchy" filter** lets you use the Jira "Parent link" function to perform your searches and bring up the information from all issues at the lower levels of a "parent issue" informed.

For example, if you have an Epic and want to see all issues from all lower levels (stories, tasks, bugs, etc.), you can use this filter and **search by the summary description of a parent issue**, by doing this, the app will search and match all the data of the respective issues in the lower levels of the informed parent issue.

Additionally, if you have the list of issues added to the dashboard, you can use the "**Hierarchy View**" option to see a tree view of the parent issues and their respective issues at lower levels:

> ℹ️ **Good to know**

> ℹ️ Whenever you perform a Basic or JQL search, Mindpro Graphy will automatically update all charts and cards in the dashboard with the data matching your respective search.
