### **Configuring the Global and Project settings**


On the app's configuration screen, in the **Project Location & Settings section**, it is possible to select between two alternatives to determine whether the settings defined in the app will be applied to all projects (Option 1), or if they will be project-specific settings (Option 2). 


See more below about each one.

### **Option 1) Global configuration**


When choosing this option, **Mindpro Sync **will be** **enabled** for all projects** and **all projects **will use** the same settings** and **field mapping**.

When this option is enabled, all global configurations are defined only in the app’s configuration screen which can be accessed through **"Jira > Settings > Apps"**.

### **Option 2) Configuration by Project**

 

If you choose this option, **Mindpro Sync **will be enabled **only for the selected Projects** in the configuration dropdown and **each selected project** will have its **own configuration** and **mapping**.

When enabled, this option **creates a "Mindpro Sync" link on the left menu, inside the “Project Settings” for each project** the app was enabled for.

> ℹ️ **Keep in mind**
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - When accessed for the first time, each project will inherit the “Global configurations” and mappings as a suggestion, but you can change any of the options and save them, so each selected project will have its own configuration and mappings.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - If you switch from "Configuration by project" to "Global configuration" and again to "configuration by project", the system will reset the options saved in the project and will copy again the options from "Global Configurations".

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - Only field mapping and configurations can be set by project. The IDP connection is still global. It means all projects will use the same IdP connection.
