> ℹ️ **Summary: **Select where do you want to display the IDP attributes across your Jira instance.

### **Defining where you want to show user attributes and hierarchy.**

 

By default, all **mapped attributes** are displayed in the **Jira Issue Details** for the selected projects defined in the app’s configuration. 


And besides to this default location to show the attributes, it is possible to choose on the app's **Configuration** screen in the **Where and What to Display** section, between **three options** to define where you want to display the user’s information and choose whether or not to show their respective hierarchy.

**Option 1) Issues - Display the user hierarchy in Issue Details**


- If this option is selected, in addition to the default attributes data in the Jira Issue, the app it will retrieve the user hierarchy tree informed in the connected IDP, and will show this additional information inside the Jira issues dedicated section for this.

- The hierarchy tree shows up to two levels above the selected user's level; this hierarchical information is based on the organizational structure informed in the IDP.

- By doing the mouse over the icon of each user displayed in the hierarchy line, it is possible to see and copy the information of Name, Role, Department, Email, and, Phone.

> ℹ️ **Keep in mind**
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ If you are connecting with **Okta**, make sure the user has the "*Manager ID*" attribute in the IDP profile filled with the **manager's email address** (and not with a number). This is the way Okta handles the hierarchy internally.

**Option 2)  Jira Service Management Portal - Display the user attributes in Request Details**

 

If this option is selected, this will allow your customers to see the mapped attributes of the selected user (Reporter, Assignee, or user picker field) inside the Request Details in the Jira Service Management portal.

**Option 3)  Jira Service Management Portal - Display the user Hierarchy in Request Details**

 

- If this option is selected, this will allow your customers to see the hierarchy of the selected (Reporter, Assignee, or user picker field) inside the Request Details in the Jira Service Management portal.

- The hierarchy tree shows up to two levels above the selected user's level; this hierarchical information is based on the organizational structure informed in the IDP.

> ℹ️ You can select and combine two or more options to get a full view of user attributes in Jira and Jira Service Management, depending on your needs.
