--- title: "Enabling the Global and Space configurations" canonical: "https://helpcenter.mindproapps.com/space/sync/1992458241/Enabling%20the%20Global%20and%20Space%20configurations" format: markdown --- > ℹ️ **Summary: **Learn how to setup the app to work based in a global or space specific configuration. ### **Configuring the Global and Space settings** On the app's configuration screen, in the **Space Location & Settings section**, it is possible to select between two alternatives to determine whether the settings defined in the app will be applied to all spaces (Option 1), or if they will be space-specific settings (Option 2). See more below about each one. --- ### **Option 1) Global configuration** When choosing this option, **Mindpro Sync **will be** **enabled** for all spaces** and **all spaces **will use** the same settings** and **field mapping**. ![Mindpro-1774983102775-2x.png](media://e24d89d4-4456-4dc3-875b-7bcd24f648e1) When this option is enabled, all global configurations are defined only in the app’s configuration screen which can be accessed through **"Jira > Settings > Marketplace Apps"**. --- ### **Option 2) Configuration by Space**   If you choose this option, **Mindpro Sync **will be enabled **only for the selected Spaces** in the configuration dropdown and **each selected space** will have its **own configuration** and **mapping**. ![Mindpro-1774983196058-2x.png](media://b99e923e-6171-4b4d-a32f-2723aceb501e) When the user sets configurations “By Space”, in the app administration menu, the system will disable all fields from the global configurations and global mapping screens and display a message informing the user that, from now on, the configurations and mappings must be set in each space: ![Mindpro-1774983271616-2x.png](media://e558f4fd-d3a5-4a71-ad42-bf9ec646dc04) When enabled, this option **creates a "Mindpro Sync" link on the left menu, under the “Apps” option, for each space** for which the app was enabled. To see this option, follow these steps: 1 - From the left menu, find the specific space, click on the "…” icon next to the space name and select the “Space Settings” option: ![Mindpro-1759763446631-2x.png](media://4371a062-e196-41fd-a179-7ab8c4e56d04) 2 - Find the “Apps” option and select “Mindpro Sync": ![Mindpro-1759764108037-2x.png](media://bfc1f0f2-9c2e-4f67-855b-8f5239317e46) > ℹ️ **Keep in mind** > ℹ️ > ℹ️ - When accessed for the first time, each space will inherit the “Global Configurations” and mappings as a suggestion, but you can change any of the options and save them, so each selected space will have its own configuration and mappings. > ℹ️ > ℹ️ > ℹ️ - If you switch from "Configuration by Space" to "Global Configuration" and again to "Configuration by Space", the system will reset the options saved in the space and will copy again the options from "Global Configurations". > ℹ️ > ℹ️ > ℹ️ - Only field mapping and configurations can be set by space.
