> ℹ️ **Summary: **Select where do you want to display the IDP attributes across your Jira instance.

### **Defining where you want to show user attributes and hierarchy.**

All **mapped attributes** are displayed in the **Jira Issue Details** for the selected spaces defined in the app’s configuration by default.

In addition to this default location to show the attributes, you can choose between some options on the app's **Configuration** screen in the **Where and What to Display** section to define where you want to display the user’s information and choose whether or not to show their respective IDP hierarchy and groups.

### **Issues (user/agent perspective)**

These options will define what information will be displayed inside the Jira/JSM issues, for the internal users:

- **Issue Details - Display User Attributes**
  - This option is selected by default and cannot be disabled. This will allow internal users to see the mapped attributes of the selected user (Reporter, Assignee, or user picker field) inside the "Issue Details” panel.

- **Issue Detail - Display User Hierarchy**
  - If this option is selected, in addition to the default attributes data in the Jira Issue, the app will retrieve the user hierarchy tree informed in the connected IDP and will show this additional information inside the Jira issues dedicated section for this.
  - The hierarchy tree shows up to two levels above the selected user's level; this hierarchical information is based on the organizational structure informed in the IDP.
  - By hovering the mouse over the icon of each user displayed in the hierarchy line, it is possible to see and copy the information about Name, Role, Department, Email, and Phone.

> ℹ️ **Keep in mind**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If you are connecting with **Okta**, ensure the user has the "*Manager ID*" attribute in the IDP profile filled with the **manager's email address** (and not with a number). This is the way Okta handles the hierarchy internally.

- **Issue Details - Display IDP User Groups**
  - When this option is selected, the system will display an additional tab next to the hierarchy information containing the user groups from the identity provider where the selected user belongs.
  - The user group information may vary according to the IDP selected, but the main information displayed is:
    - Name
    - Description
    - Object ID

### **Jira Service Management Portal (customer perspective)**

- **JSM Portal Requests - Display User Attributes**
  - If this option is selected, this will allow your customers to see the mapped attributes of the selected user (Reporter, Assignee, or user picker field) inside the Request Details in the Jira Service Management portal

![Mindpro-1759777228874-2x.png](media://783140aa-91c5-4445-a83d-c8729ebe13fb)

- **JSM Portal Requests - Display User Hierarchy**
  - If this option is selected, this will allow your customers to see the hierarchy of the selected (Reporter, Assignee, or user picker field) inside the Request Details in the Jira Service Management portal.
  - The hierarchy tree shows up to two levels above the selected user's level; this hierarchical information is based on the organizational structure informed in the IDP.

![Mindpro-1759777597069-2x.png](media://6fbe82e6-06a1-4da2-bf21-eeca4583cc7a)

- **JSM Portal Requests - Display IDP User Groups**
  - As in the issue detail, when this option is selected, the system will display an additional tab next to the hierarchy information in the portal request, containing the user groups from the identity provider where the selected user belongs.
  - The user group information may vary according to the IDP selected, but the main information displayed is:
    - Name
    - Description
    - Object ID

> ℹ️ **Good to know**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ - As a good practice, if you are using “Multiple Users”, you can name the read-only custom fields to reflect the user you are displaying the data for (i.e., “Department - Reporter", “Job Title - Assignee”, etc.). In this way, you can be aware of what information is being displayed.
