### **Google Workspace authentication**

> ⚠️ Before you create a connection with MindPro Sync, you need to create a service account in Google Workspace Administration page. Then, you need to generate .JSON file with the credentials to establish the connection. Click [here](https://mindpro.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/sync/pages/2196799489) to learn how to proceed.

To establish a connection with Google Workspace, click the **New Connection** button on the Connections screen.

The system will open a pop-up window with a list of options so you can select the Identity Provider you want to connect to.

From the options available, select **Google Workspace** as the Identity Provider to connect and fill the fields accordingly:

- **Connection Name:** Inform a name for your connection.
- **Inform your Customer ID: **The unique ID for the customer's Google Workspace account. You can also use the "my_customer” alias to represent your account's customer ID. Click [here](https://support.google.com/a/answer/10070793?hl=en&sjid=16907148802557623953-SA#) to know how to find your customer ID.

- **Inform your Google Admin Email: **This is the email of your Google Workspace account administrator.
- **Key File**: This is the JSON file you downloaded while configuring your service account. Drag & drop the file in this space or click on this area to browse a file.

After informing all data and clicking on **Connect** the system validates the connection with Google Workspace and informs in case any issue occurs.

As soon as the connection is established, the system will show a “Success” message confirming the connection and enable the **Synchronization tab**.

### **Google Workspace data synchronization**

When connected with Google Workspace the system will enable the **synchronization tab** where the user can select the attribute fields to sync the user’s data with Jira and to inform the attribute that will contain the user’s manager information.

As a pre-configured option, **the system connects to the Email attributes by default**, so no action is required.

But if you want to use different IdP user attributes to sync data, select one from the list and click** Save**.

> ℹ️ **Keep in mind**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ The attribute selected for user synchronization should contain a **valid email address** as a value informed in the IdP. Once selected, all users will start having their data synchronized by this attribute.
